Auburn native, discovered his culinary passion while tending his family farm. He attended Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC where he trained under and worked along side some of the country’s top chefs. He furthered his career seizing opportunities to serve the country’s upper echelon, leading him to an Executive Chef position at Pine Creek Sporting Club where he was published in Annie Faulk’s “Palm Beach Entertaining” along side Alain Ducasse. The opportunity then presented itself for Watson to serve as Executive Chef of “Carter’s Kitchen” under his mentor Chef Robert Carter, which ultimately earned him a spot on Esquire’s list of “Best New Restaurants in the Country.”
